The warmth of an exquisite piece of wood in a cool contemporary design -- that to me is a thing of beauty. I contrast exceptional pieces of naturally finished wood with ebonized ash and satin anodized aluminum to create spare, elegant forms, often with a touch of asymmetry. Inlays of ebony or aluminum express design concepts.

Drawing from my education in physics (MS, BS), mathematics (BS) and architecture (M Arch), I have created a collection of tables around ideas from those fields. My message is that science is beautiful.

My furniture work combines several passions that have driven my life: designing, engineering, art, woodworking, science, math and architecture. Answering the question "What can I make next?" drives it now.

My design studio and shop are located in the heart of Oregon timber and wine country. Most of my work is shipped out of state. I craft each piece of furniture myself, at a pace that allows me to strive for perfection.
